This winter, Four Seasons Resort and Residences is showcasing a new restaurant and a redesigned spa. These enhancements mark one of the most substantial transformations since the resort’s opening, further solidifying its reputation among guests and locals as a top-tier luxury destination.
Frasca Hospitality Group, the James Beard Award-winning team behind Denver’s Michelin Bib Gourmand-recognized Tavernetta, has expanded its culinary presence with the launch of Tavernetta Vail. The new restaurant, taking over the space once occupied by Flame Restaurant, is now open and highlights regional Italian cuisine with a particular focus on dishes from Italy’s alpine regions.

“We are excited to bring the Tavernetta brand to Four Seasons Vail,” says Bobby Stuckey, master sommelier and co-founder of Frasca Hospitality Group. “Four Seasons shares our commitment to hospitality excellence, and we look forward to welcoming guests to this world-class destination.”
Known for setting the standard in dining excellence, Frasca Hospitality Group boasts five renowned establishments in Colorado. Among them are the Michelin-starred Frasca Food and Wine and Pizzeria Alberico in Boulder, along with Denver’s acclaimed Tavernetta, Sunday Vinyl and Osteria Alberico.
Tavernetta Vail offers both indoor and outdoor dining options, along with a sleek bar and lounge for après-ski gatherings. A private dining room is also available for more intimate occasions. The design, courtesy of California-based Studio Collective and Denver-based OZ Architecture, features warm, natural materials inspired by the surrounding mountains, infused with sophisticated Italian design elements and nods to renowned Italian architect, Gio Ponti.
“From the entryway’s nostalgic rondel glass door to the restaurant’s interior, with its patterned and colorful marble counters and antiqued mirror niches, every detail is designed to create the backdrop to an unforgettable dining experience,” says Chris Vandall, associate principal at OZ Architecture. “Whether it’s an après-ski cocktail in the lounge, an intimate dinner at the bar or a fireside meal with friends and family, there is a place for every occasion.”
On the menu, guests will find a range of Italian dishes, celebrating the hearty, rustic cuisine of northern Italy along side vibrant flavors from the south. The restaurant’s beverage program includes an all-Italian wine list — save for Champagne — and a curated selection of Italian spirits and digestifs, adding to the authentic Italian experience.
In mid-2004, Four Seasons Vail unveiled a redesigned spa that emphasizes wellness and tranquility. Designed by Rose Ink Workshop, the spa features earthy tones and textures that mirror the natural beauty of the Rockies. It’s a serene escape for guests, offerings 13 treatment rooms, updated hot tubs and newly renovated saunas and steam rooms.
“We are incredibly excited about the launch of our newly redesigned spa and the introduction of our holistic wellness program,” says Lana Labrecque, director of leisure and wellness at Four Seasons Resort Vail. “This transformation allows us to offer our guests an unmatched spa experience here in the Vail Valley, combining bespoke treatments within a serene and inviting atmosphere.”
The new spa menu includes luxury treatments like the “Extreme 360° Beauty Ceremony” using EviDenS de Beauté products, and a “Sleep Ritual” incorporating Ground Wellbeing offerings. The focus on holistic wellness is further strengthened by partnerships with brands like Back Label, known for their non-toxic, sustainable materials, and Comfort Zone, which brings a connection to Italy with its conscious, science-based approach to skincare, adding a layer of environmentally conscious luxury to the spa experience.
“Combining Rose Ink Workshop’s creative design vision with esteemed brands that are pioneering the spa industry allows our expert therapists to offer a unique, holistic and unparalleled approach to wellness, especially important in our active resort town,” says Jerome Arribas, general manager of Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail.
