Ice Castles Comes to Eagle

This winter, a new Ice Castles display will open at the Eagle County Fairgrounds, offering a fairytale-like world of ice and light to the season.

“This is a special opportunity to showcase a nationally recognized event in our backyard,” says Jesse Meryhew, Eagle County facilities director. “We invite both visitors and locals to experience what will surely be a remarkable winter event.”

Ice Castles is renowned for its intricate ice architecture, including tunnels, caverns, fountains and slides —all made entirely of ice. At night, the structures come alive, illuminated by color-changing LED lights and creating a magical ambiance for guests of all ages.

Ice Castles typically opens in late December, weather permitting, and will stay open until early March. Tickets for the Eagle County Ice Castles can be purchased at icecastles.com.
